Construction Superintendent

As a Construction Superintendent, you will coordinate project tasks to meet or exceed schedules, oversee jobsite logistics, safety, and quality assurance, and act as the client liaison while leading the site. You will be responsible for securing and maintaining necessary permits and approvals, building positive relationships with inspectors, scheduling and managing inspections, and ensuring compliance with municipal codes. Your role will also include obtaining final occupancy permits, enforcing safety policies, maintaining signage and manuals, leading weekly safety meetings via Procore, maintaining a clean and safe worksite, hosting and responding to safety inspections, reviewing plans for constructability and sequencing, and supporting QA/QC program development and implementation.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate project tasks to meet or exceed schedule.
  • Oversee jobsite logistics, safety, and quality assurance.
  • Act as client liaison when leading site.
  • Ensure permits and approvals are secured and maintained.
  • Build positive relationships with inspectors.
  • Schedule and manage inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with municipal codes.
  • Obtain final occupancy permits.
  • Enforce safety policies and maintain signage/manuals.
  • Lead weekly safety meetings via Procore.
  • Maintain clean, safe worksite.
  • Host and respond to safety inspections.
  • Review plans for constructability and sequencing.
  • Support QA/QC program development and implementation.
  • Coordinate testing and layout accuracy.
  • Ensure work meets specs and standards.
  • Conduct pre-punch walks and assist with scheduling.
  • Attend kickoff and set up jobsite logistics.
  • Manage crews, materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Maintain site security and neighbor relations.
  • Communicate regularly with project manager and subcontractors.
  • Review submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs.
  • Track progress, update schedules, and log daily activity.
  • Support change orders and subcontractor coordination.
  • Complete punch list items and final billings.
  • Return marked-up documents for as-builts.
  • Collect warranties, lien waivers, and manuals.

Essential Skills:

  • Experience with ground-up projects valued at $25 million or higher.
  • Proficiency in construction software, specifically MS Project and Procore.
  • OSHA-30 certification is a plus.
  • Sitework and site utilities experience would also be a plus.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in multifamily residential and mixed-use construction.
  • Knowledge of construction safety and supervision.
  • Experience in subcontractor management.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.48 - $62.50/hr.
