ComForCare Home Care is currently looking to fill 4-6 immediate openings with clients in the Genesee County area. Only serious candidates apply. We need dedicated, reliable individuals that truly care about their clients and will always do what's right.

Immediate opening for a client in Flint - early morning shifts (7am-2pm) and evenings (5pm-9pm) available on weekdays. No weekends! Must have a valid driver's license for this position.

Immediate opening for a client in Fenton - weekday evenings (6pm-11pm) and weekend days (8am-8pm) available now! Other positions available asap too. Call our office for more details and to set-up an interview.

Flexible schedules!

  • Part-time & full-time positions
  • 4-hour shifts (min) to 24-hour shifts (max) and everything in between!
  • 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts
  • Mornings, afternoons, evenings, overnights

Responsibilities:

  • Remind clients to take medications
  • Ensure clients' safety during transfers
  • Help with mobility, either in the home or outside and in the community (doctor's appointments, walks, etc.)
  • Assist with personal care and hygiene, bathing, dressing, toileting, and help with physical therapy exercises (if applicable)
  • Complete errands for client or accompany client to ensure safe completion of errands (grocery shopping, Rx pick-up, etc.)
  • Perform light housekeeping duties and maintenance of a safe environment for the client
  • Report any unusual incidents and changes/declines in client's physical, cognitive, or emotional status
  • Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
  • Perform activities that are essential for daily living by assisting clients with planning and preparing their meals, including serving and/or feeding, if necessary

Qualifications:

  • 1 year experience in healthcare or in-home care environment a plus - willing to train the right person!!!
  • Reliable transportation (valid DL not necessary unless driving clients, but reliable transportation to & from every shift is a must)
  • Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties
  • Ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
  • Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Take pride in providing high-quality care
  • Dementia experience a plus
