Industrial Mechanic Opportunity
An industry-leading production facility is seeking Industrial Mechanics for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This hands-on role is ideal for mechanically inclined candidates who enjoy a challenge, thrive in dynamic environments, and are motivated by results. Candidates must pass a mechanical crank test as the first step of the hiring process.
Compensation and Schedule for the Industrial Mechanic:
- $28-$29/hour starting pay
- $1.50/hour shift differential for night shift
- 12-hour shifts on a rotating 2 on two off followed by 3 on three off.
- Opportunities to increase pay up to $33/hour based on production goals and skill progression
- Contract-to-hire structure with long-term potential
- Full benefits once hired on post temporary period
Requirements for the Industrial Mechanic:
- Must pass the hands-on mechanical test before interviewing
- Hands-on mechanical experience in a manufacturing or non-manufacturing environments
- Comfort with production equipment and ability to troubleshoot under pressure
- Willingness to work in a blended role (approx. 60-70% production / 30-40% maintenance)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Mechatronics degree preferred, not required (certifications accepted if backed by mechanical aptitude)
- Must obtain list of required tools sheet within 30 days (multimeters required)
- Must wear slip-resistant, steel or composite toe shoes
Responsibilities of the Industrial Mechanic:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical equipment on production lines
- Operate machinery during production and address production line trouble spots
- Perform preventive maintenance and breakdown repairs during downtime
- Use mobile CMMS (LIMBO) to track work orders and machine performance
- Follow a skill progression path with advanced positions and pay raises available
- Collaborate with both production and maintenance teams to prioritize and resolve issues
- Uphold all safety and PPE requirements (glasses, ear protection, beard nets provided)
