Maintenance Mechanic

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for conducting routine and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns. You will develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and assist in the installation and setup of new machinery. Your role involves diagnosing and repairing mechanical, low voltage electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, while maintaining accurate records and collaborating closely with production and engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on machinery and equipment.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, low voltage electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
• Assist in the installation and setup of new machinery and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
• Navigate, maintain, and improve Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) processes.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve overall efficiency.
• Conduct work in accordance with lean manufacturing principles and processes.

Essential Skills:

• Mechanical Troubleshooting - hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Repair of gear boxes, bearings, and chain driven conveyors.
• Low voltage 24v electrical troubleshooting.
• Troubleshooting mechanical, pneumatics, and schematic issues.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Familiarity with safety precautions.
• Experience in industrial maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair bearings, gearboxes, cylinders, and electrical systems.

Work Environment:

Work in an automotive manufacturing environment where tools are provided. Expect a shift schedule of 6:30pm-7:00am, with a rotating schedule of 3 days on, 4 days off, followed by 4 days on, 4 days off. The company offers a night shift differential and provides an annual fit test.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Permanent position based out of Greenfield, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $60320.00/yr.

1st month: $30; 2nd month: $40; 3rd month and after $50 every month for perfect attendance
