Electro-Mechanic Maintenance Technician

Join our maintenance department where you will play a crucial role in supporting the production floor by maintaining and servicing equipment and machines. You will ensure that day-to-day production goals are met through troubleshooting equipment failures and performing routine and emergency mechanical, hydraulic/pneumatic, and electrical maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Cover all emergency breakdowns and repairs in a timely manner.
  • Report problems with equipment, leaks, and other deficiencies and take necessary actions.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks in accordance with the Preventative Maintenance Program.
  • Troubleshoot and repair 3-phase motors up to 480v.
  • Utilize testing equipment including multi-meters.
  • Assess operational state of equipment, filters, oil, hydraulics, compressors, motors, pumps, plumbing, and electrical systems, and determine necessary actions.
  • Complete routine assignments without direct supervision.
  • Work safely following all safety rules and regulations.

Essential Skills

  • Proficient in troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
  • Understanding of 480V electrical troubleshooting and safety.
  • Mechanically inclined with knowledge of hydraulics/pneumatics.
  • Ability to read and follow blueprints, manuals, and mechanical/electrical schematics.
  • Experience operating test equipment and/or software.
  • Strong attention to detail and safety standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, temperature, and pressure gauges.
  • Ability to learn and understand manufacturing processes.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot moderately complex problems.
  • Ability to maintain consistent, punctual, and regular attendance.
  • Ability to read and communicate in English.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and solid prior work history.
  • Open to candidates from trades programs such as LCCTC.

Work Environment

Work in a steel manufacturer building columns for steel racking systems. The facility has moderate noise levels and is somewhat dirty, with temperatures that vary depending on the season as it is not climate-controlled.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Leola, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
