Mechanic Job at Environmental Air Systems in Browns Summit

Responsibilities include:

• Understanding all aspects of HVAC installation.
• Being dependable and able to work in different areas with teams of 4-5 people.
• Planning duct layouts and anticipating workflow to ensure smooth operations.
• Adhering to all safety policies and regulations.
• Identifying and correcting unsafe situations.
• Sketching duct fittings and understanding signals for rigging and setting HVAC equipment with cranes, boom trucks, lulls, and forklifts.
• Knowledge of welding and fabrication for supports.
• Understanding airflow systems including supply, return, and exhaust.
• Performing quality control to ensure proper installation according to manufacturer instructions.
• Collaborating professionally with other trades to resolve conflicts.
• Reading ductwork and architectural drawings to locate rooms, ceiling elevations, and columns.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of five (5) years of sheet metal experience.

Job Requirements and Skills:

• Ability to work in varying heat, cold, and noise conditions.
• Ability to read a tape measure and blueprints (preferred).
• Handling materials and using power tools safely.
