Overview

Tico is hiring Mechanics, All Skill Levels / All Shifts at our site in Savannah, Georgia.

Responsibilities

• Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Performs inspection, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, A/C, steering, cooling, DPF, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
• Performs repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services.
• Ability to utilize computer software diagnostic systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
• Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
• Reviews, completes, or assigns repairs.
• Performs maintenance related work as required.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Effectively communicate needed repairs or tasks.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess, preferably, 2+ years of experience in either/or:

• Heavy truck repair
• Heavy, medium duty or farm equipment repair
• Forklift or construction equipment repair
• Automotive maintenance and repair
• Completion of a diesel or automotive tech program

Good attitude, willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic are preferred. You must maintain your own tool set (company-provided tool program available).
