Base pay range: $32.00/hr - $36.00/hr

This range is provided by Gorham Sand & Gravel. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and structural systems on heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, dozers, haul trucks, graders, etc.
• Repair and replace defective parts, such as bearings, gears, and hydraulic components
• Conduct repairs and preventative maintenance of trucks and equipment either at the shop or on location of a breakdown
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify issues and determine repair procedures
• Respond to field service calls and perform repairs on-site as needed
• Operate heavy equipment to test repairs and ensure functionality
• Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections according to manufacturer and company standards
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used and labor time
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and equipment operators to identify equipment problems
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all company and regulatory safety standards

Qualifications

• Qualified candidates must have excellent mechanical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with brakes, tires, and other maintenance services
• Must be familiar with both diesel and gas engines
• A minimum of three years of experience
• A valid driver\'s license in good standing (CDL and Inspection License are not required but would be a plus)
• Must have own tools and a positive attitude

Pay

Pay: $32-$36 per hour to start, depending on experience. Room for advancement.
