About the Opportunity

We are seeking a well-rounded and highly motivated Freight Forwarding Coordinator with hands-on experience managing Export and Import operations across all modes: Air Freight, Ocean Freight, and Domestic/Cross Border Trucking. This position is responsible for coordinating end-to-end international and domestic shipments, ensuring full regulatory compliance, and delivering exceptional service to customers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and confident navigating both operational logistics and export/import regulations.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Handle both Export and Import operations across Air, Ocean, and Domestic freight modes end-to-end. Assist with document preparation and traffic coordination to process export/import shipments cost-effectively and in accordance with company standards. Prepare and review documentation to ensure compliance with U.S. and destination country regulations. Demonstrate and apply knowledge of AES (Automated Export System) filing requirements. Work closely with carriers, agents, and customers to arrange bookings and transportation. Source transportation methods and provide accurate quotes for customers. Complete shipment process in CargoWise to manage shipment data, AES entry, bookings, routing and operational milestones. Manage customer expectations through SOPs, KPIs, and other account-specific metrics. Maintain accurate shipment data and document integrity for client web tracking platforms. Prepare commercial documents and bills of lading (master, house, direct - AWB/ocean) to support both export and import operations. Onboard new carriers/agents based on our requirements. Track and trace shipments from origin to destination, providing timely updates to clients. Respond professionally to customer orders, inquiries, invoice questions, and complaints. Maintain accounting records and process vendor invoices for payment. Ensure compliance with U.S. Export Regulations, including EAR99, Export Licenses, Product Classification, and Denied Party Screening. Understand and apply FMC (Federal Maritime Commission) regulations for ocean freight operations. Ensure compliance with TSA and STA regulations for air freight. Assist with identifying, vetting, and onboarding new carriers and service providers to meet service and compliance standards. Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure smooth and efficient logistics processes. About You

To qualify, you will need at least 4 years of experience in freight forwarding, with expertise in both export and import across air, ocean, and domestic freight.

Strong understanding of U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR) Knowledge of FMC regulations for ocean freight Knowledge and understanding of TSA/STA regulations, Veroot and IACMS systems, including their application in managing TSA compliance and screening requirements. Knowledge of U.S. domestic trucking regulations (e.g., DOT, FMCSA, ELD compliance). Knowledge of TSA audits and audit processes is a plus. Dangerous Goods Certification for air, ocean, and ground preferred. Proficient in CargoWise software - required. Valid U.S. passport required. Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written - with strong customer service orientation. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in logistics or compliance are a plus. Must be eligible to work in the United States.
