Job Description
Objective of the Job: This position is responsible for creating and managing software applications as per user and business requirements. Analyze software applications and system requirements to ensure high-quality concept implementation using optimal operating procedures. Must have strong knowledge of the manufacturing industry and software programming disciplines to assist Junior developers and drive strategic results. Duties and Responsibilities: 1) Oversight of Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality programs and "where applicable" ResponsibleSteel requirements; follow BRS directives and comply with regulatory requirements within scope of responsibility 2) Application development of manufacturing systems for changes and/or implementation of Manufacturing systems 3) In process analysis activities including as-is process identification, to-be process design, impact analysis, and gap analysis/resolution. 4) Works with IT ticketing system for Bug/Support/Feature tasks 5) Write clean, testable code using .NET programming languages 6) Develop technical specifications and architecture 7) Review and refactor code 8) Upgrade existing programs and ensures business continuity by analyzing current trends in technology and applying them to real life cases 9) Support junior developers' work Qualifications: 1) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in IT related field 2) Team player with good communication skills 3) 3+ years' experience developing applications in C# or equivalent .NET language 4) Proficiency in building windows-based applications 5) Familiarity with agile environments 6) Troubleshooting abilities 7) Strong understanding of Oracle and MS-SQL databases 8) Experience in Manufacturing systems (MES) Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: This position requires the ability to work in an office setting with occasional tasks in the mill, which could typically involve extreme environments from hot to cold. This position can require long hours, weekend, and holiday coverage to support routine responsibilities. Supervisory Responsibility: This position does not supervise others.
