Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Application Developer - Senior to join our team in Plano, Texas. This is a 1-year contract position with the potential for extension. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java, Spring Framework, and modern development practices, as well as expertise in cloud technologies, CI/CD pipelines, and microservices architecture. This role requires onsite work 3-5 days per week and is open to local candidates only.
Responsibilities: Develop and maintain web applications using Java, Spring, Spring MVC, Spring Webflux, and REST. Design and implement microservices architecture for scalable and efficient applications. Utilize build and CI/CD technologies such as GitHub Actions, Maven, Jenkins, JFrog, Sonar, and CodeQL. Work with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. Implement GitOps systems like ArgoCD and advanced deployment controllers such as Argo Rollouts. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum/Kanban development environments. Ensure high performance and reliability of applications through unit and functional testing. Develop applications for public cloud platforms and integrate with PaaS and SaaS offerings. Optimize Redis for high throughput and performance usage. Present complex technical information clearly to peers, developers, and senior leaders. Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot. 5+ years of experience with Redis, including tuning for high performance. Proficiency in unit and functional testing using tools like Mockito, JUnit, Spock, and Rest Assured. Expertise in open-source Java frameworks for encryption, caching, and authentication. Experience in developing applications for public cloud platforms such as AKS. Strong knowledge of CI/CD technologies like GitHub Actions, Maven, Jenkins, JFrog, Sonar, and CodeQL. Proficiency in Unix/Linux command line operations. Expertise in asynchronous message processing, stream processing, and event-driven computing. Experience with backend technologies like Java, Spring, Kafka, and Cassandra. 8+ years of experience with Docker and Kubernetes. 5+ years of experience with Helm and Logback. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
