As a Landscape Equipment Operator, your main responsibility is operating and maintaining heavy landscaping equipment to support grounds maintenance and property upkeep.
Responsibilities
Equipment Operation & Safety
Operate heavy machinery: Mini skid loader, Skid steer, Mini excavator, Trencher, Ventrac mower, John Deere tractors, Bush hog. Load/unload and transport equipment safely to job sites. Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance of equipment. Follow safety protocols, company policies, and proper tool/equipment care. Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns. Landscaping & Grounds Maintenance
Assist with grading, trenching, mowing, trimming, and material movement. Maintain landscapes: flowerbeds, trees, shrubs, lawns, and foliage across WindRiver. Perform general groundskeeping: debris pickup, gutter cleaning, snow shoveling, fertilizer/insecticide application. Groom and clean property grounds and building exteriors. Repair, renovate, and maintain outdoor environments. Support & Logistics
Drive company vehicles and participate in material runs. Collaborate with team members and assist with manual labor tasks. Maintain supply inventory, track usage, and request additional supplies as needed. Perform other duties as required by the business. Requirements
At least 18 years old (required). Valid driver's license (required) Experience operating the listed heavy equipment: Mini skid loader, Skid steer, Mini excavator, Trencher, Ventrac mower, John Deere tractors, Bush hog (required). Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Ability to greet all customers in a warm, friendly, and professional manner in accordance with WindRiver policies and procedures. Ability to follow clear direction and communicate effectively. Must be able to work successfully on a team. Basic knowledge of landscape installation and maintenance. Ability to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects. Strong attention to safety and detail.
Physical Requirements
: Must be able to bend, stoop, climb, twist, climb stairs, kneel, lift, push, and pull items weighing up to 50lbs. Must be able to stand and continuously move for up to 8 hours at a time. Must be willing to work in an outdoor environment for up to 8 hours at a time and in varying weather conditions
