Opportunity Details{dcrs_type} Mammography Technologist Fort Lauderdale Area, Florida Start Date: As soon as possible Pay: Between $25.00 - $33.00 an hour Job Overview: We seek a skilled and compassionate Mammography Technologist to join our women's health team in Broward County, FL. This role is central to early breast cancer detection, providing both screening and diagnostic mammograms, as well as supporting breast imaging procedures in collaboration with radiologists and providers. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in mammography with a patient-centered approach - ensuring high-quality imaging, patient comfort, and adherence to the highest safety and regulatory standards. This is an opportunity to impact community-based breast health services directly. Schedule and Shift: Monday to Friday Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday - 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Tuesday - 1 0:00 am - 7:00 pm Full-time On-site Primary Job Responsibilities: Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammograms in compliance with ACR, FDA, and MQSA standards Operate, calibrate, and maintain mammography equipment; perform routine QA/QC checks Assist with diagnostic breast procedures, including magnification views, ultrasound, and image-guided biopsies (stereotactic, ultrasound, MRI-guided) Ensure accurate patient positioning and image quality for diagnosis Review patient history and prior imaging to tailor exams Provide clear, compassionate explanations and support to patients throughout procedures Maintain accurate records in PACS, RIS, and EMR systems Collaborate with radiologists, breast ultrasound technicians, and care teams to ensure coordinated patient care Support outreach and education efforts to expand access to breast health services Follow infection control, radiation safety, and HIPAA standards Participate in quality improvement, continuing education, and organizational initiatives Qualification: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field ARRT (R) certification required; ARRT (M) Mammography certification required (or ability to obtain) State licensure (if applicable) 1-2 years of mammography experience preferred; diagnostic breast imaging experience a plus Proficiency in 3D Tomosynthesis, PACS, RIS, and EMR systems Experience assisting with stereotactic and ultrasound-guided biopsies preferred Knowledge of MQSA, ACR, and quality improvement standards Current BLS certification required Strong communication, cultural sensitivity, and ability to work with diverse populations Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, team-based clinical environment Benefits: Health, Dental, and Vision 401K
