Our team is seeking a dynamic and energetic individual to join our growing Dermatology & Facial Plastic Surgery practice. The person in this position is part of the team concept in The Woodruff Institute's health delivery system, which is devoted to the delivery of the highest quality dermatologic and aesthetic care in an outpatient clinical setting, with emphasis on personalized, quality care in an elegant environment.

The Appointment Scheduler assists patients on the telephone, schedules appointments, gather accurate demographic information and insurance information, and registers patients.

Provide patient-centered customer service Answer multi-line telephone Schedule patient appointments using the computerized scheduling system Schedule appointments to best meet the needs of the patient in adherence with our providers' schedule and availability Reschedule and cancel appointments as needed Verify insurance eligibility Register patients, verify and update patient data, prepare necessary confirmation letters, welcome packets and forms to send to patients, as assigned Strictly adhere to HIPAA rules to maintain patient confidentiality Competencies

HARD SKILLS:

Strong verbal and written communication skills Experience with medical scheduling and electronic medical records software

Work environment

Very fast-paced environment. This is a primarily sedentary position requiring long periods of sitting, talking with a headset and looking at a computer monitor.

Physical demands

This position requires long periods of sitting and looking directly at an active computer monitor.

Required education and experience

A High School diploma or GED required Customer Service experience Preferred Education and experience

One-three years as a Medical Scheduler Experience with Electronic Medical Records and Medical Scheduling software Additional eligibility requirements

Ability to speak, read and write English. Work authorization/security clearance requirements

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and provide the necessary documents of identification and authorization.
