To apply, click "Apply to Job" online on this web page.Network Production Engineer ResponsibilitiesBuild experience with Backbone, Data Center, and Network Infrastructure Engineering teams.Build, manage, and maintain multi-vendor, multi-protocol data center and backbone network.Develop optimized network monitoring systems.Design, and deploy new network architectures.Develop automated methods to mitigate and remediate network events.Analyze data to diagnose and identify root causes to network issues.Be an active participant in deep technical discussions.Develop and maintain consistency within the network infrastructure.Test new network products and pilot them in production DC networks before a mass rollout.Develop test automation frameworks integrated in CI/CD pipeline to qualify network software before push in production.Develop tests that qualify complex network migration procedures in lab/emulation before executing the same in production.Test software features in FBOSS (NOS software) partnering with in-house software development teams.Qualify and push vendor software releases in the fleet.Build and operate DC test lab networks.Participate in DC network on-call rotation.Minimum QualificationsRequires a Master's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fieldRequires completion of a university-level course, research project, internship, or thesis in the following:1. Building maintainable and testable code bases, including API design and unit testing techniques2. C++3. Design for Testing4. Hardware development and testing experience5. Linux and Unix6. Network Routing Protocols7. Network analysis, debugging and troubleshooting, using tools: Wireshark, Network Simulator, Selenium or Git8. Network device configuration9. Python10. Regression Testing11. Test and scripting: Tcl, shell, Makefile12. Networking protocols (TCP/IP or HTTP)13.
