Job Title: Inventory Control AnalystPay Grade: 6Salary: $60,588 Department: Procurement Reports to: Procurement Manager FLSA Status: ExemptPosition Summary: The Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for ensuring accurate, efficient, and effective management of material and product inventory across the facility. This role combines analytical oversight with hands-on inventory functions, including planning, receiving, distribution, tracking, and reporting. The analyst will monitor inventory levels, prevent stockouts and overages, and coordinate with vendors and internal departments to meet operational and customer requirements. Responsibilities:•Maintain accurate inventory levels to support operational and customer needs.•Perform regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.•Analyze inventory against demand forecasts to avoid shortages or overstock situations.•Prepare and present monthly inventory reports to leadership.•Source, negotiate, and purchase required equipment, materials, or services.•Obtain and evaluate supplier quotes to ensure the best value in price, quality, and lead times.•Ensure timely delivery of ordered materials and resolve scheduling issues.•Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments.•Label, scan, and track inventory for proper identification and database accuracy.•Pull, stage, and distribute inventory to appropriate departments as requested.•Support shipping and receiving activities as needed.•Identify slow-moving/obsolete stock and recommend disposal or alternative use to minimize costs.•Monitoring key performance metrics (e.g., inventory accuracy rate, stock turnover, order fulfillment cycle) and recommending improvements.•Maintain inventory databases and ensure accuracy of purchase and tracking information.•Ensure compliance with company rules, contractual obligations, and applicable regulations.•Support internal/external audits, ensuring records align with regulatory standards. Skills & Requirements Qualifications and Requirements:•Must be able to pass requirements for an ATL badge with customs seal (10-year fingerprint-based background check).•Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.•Minimum 2 years of experience in inventory control, material handling, or procurement within a warehousing, logistics, or facility management environment.•Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Computerized•Ability to operate warehouse equipment (forklift, loader) preferred.Success Characteristics:•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.•Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.•High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.•Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.•Dependable, with a strong sense of urgency and accountability.•Skilled in researching markets and identifying reliable suppliers.•Knowledge of automated inventory control principles, warehouse operations, and purchasing procedures.This position is in Atlanta, GA.
