Fixins Soul Kitchen seeks to redefine the American soul food experience. We are full-service restaurants that uniquely combine traditional soul food with outstanding service and hip, energetic dining environments. Founded by former NBA All Star Kevin Johnson and his wife, Michelle, Fixins' menu is rooted in the Southern recipes passed down through generations from Kevin's family and friends. Established in 2019 with the flagship store in the Oak Park neighborhood of Sacramento, CA, Fixins is rapidly expanding. With additional current locations in Los Angeles (at the Staples Center), Tulsa (Black Wall Street), Detroit (Harmonie Park) and 6 new stores planned to open in the in next 2 years, we are seeking team members at all levels to join us in our goal of becoming the largest Black owned restaurant group in the nation.

Position Summary

As a Server at Fixins, you'll play a key role in providing every guest with an exceptional dining experience. You will create a welcoming, high-energy environment while guiding Guests through a personalized dining journey using Fixins' 9 Steps of Service. With a strong knowledge of our menu, genuine salesmanship, and attention to detail, you'll manage your section as if it were your own business-ensuring accuracy, cleanliness, and efficiency in every interaction. This role requires a commitment to teamwork, high service standards, and a passion for upholding Fixins' culture in every shift.

Key Responsibilities Arrive at work on time, in proper uniform, and with the appropriate tools. Provide every Guest with relentless service to ensure we exceed their expectations Guide guests through their customized dining experience following Fixins' Service Philosophy and using Fixins' 9 Steps of Service. Utilize genuine salesmanship techniques during guest interactions. Possess an extensive knowledge of all food and beverage selections, including a deep understanding of the appropriate questions to ask when a guest orders a particular food or beverage item. Place accurate orders using POS and pivot points. Deliver food to tables and pre-bus using silent service. Run food to tables using pivot points and a sense of urgency, delivering hot food hot, cold food cold. Manage a section of tables during each shift as though it were your own business. Maintain a clean and organized section, service station, and dining room. Provide relentless service to all guests. Complete assigned opening, ongoing, and closing sidework. Maintain a safe, sanitary, and secure environment at all times. Adhere to responsible beverage service requirements. Notify a Manager of all late orders and guest complaints. Properly fill "Rush" tickets to resolve problems quickly. Complete accurate Server Checkout Reports. Adhere to cash handling policies. Remain calm at all times. Assist Bussers by clearing and/or wiping tables. According to our teamwork philosophy, assist other Servers by refilling beverages, pre-bussing tables, running food, etc. Assist Bartenders by stocking glassware, ice, garnishes, etc. Perform any other tasks or duties as assigned by a Manager. Qualifications

Ideally 1-3 years of serving experience Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and other team members Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure Positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed High school diploma preferred Must have or be willing to obtain

$17.87 - $17.87 a year

Final pay will be based on experience, qualifications, and applicable local wage laws.
