About the Role:

As a Sushi Chef at our esteemed establishment in Azumi, RXI, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality sushi dishes that delight our guests and uphold our culinary standards. This role demands precision, creativity, and a deep understanding of traditional and contemporary sushi preparation techniques. You will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient food preparation while maintaining exceptional hygiene and presentation standards. Your expertise will contribute to an exceptional dining experience, enhancing the reputation of our hospitality and tourism venue. Ultimately, your role is pivotal in delivering authentic, visually appealing, and delicious sushi that meets customer expectations and supports the restaurant's success.

Minimum Qualifications: Proven experience as a sushi chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry. Strong knife handling skills and knowledge of sushi preparation techniques. Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive motions safely and efficiently. Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene standards. Ability to interpret instructions accurately and work collaboratively in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications:

Certification or formal training in Japanese cuisine or sushi preparation. Experience working under a head chef or in a high-volume restaurant setting. Knowledge of balancing flavors and presentation aesthetics specific to sushi dishes. Familiarity with sourcing and selecting high-quality seafood and ingredients. Multilingual skills, especially in Japanese, to enhance communication within the team and with suppliers. Responsibilities:

Prepare and assemble sushi dishes according to established recipes and customer preferences. Interpret and follow detailed instructions to ensure consistency and quality in every dish. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi preparation area, adhering to food safety regulations. Handle knives and other kitchen tools with precision and care to ensure safety and efficiency. Collaborate with the head chef and kitchen staff to balance workload and optimize service flow. Identify and select fresh ingredients, distinguishing colors and textures to ensure optimal presentation. Stand for extended periods while performing repetitive motions involved in sushi preparation. Solve practical problems that arise during food preparation to maintain smooth kitchen operations.
