The Pittsburgh Penguins are seeking a passionate, committed, high-energy sales person to sell group tickets for our organization. As a Group Sales Account Executive, you should be highly motivated and organized with an outgoing personality. The ideal candidate will possess a history of consistently exceeding sales expectations, engaging self-prospected and distributed leads, completing in-arena and offsite face-to-face new sales appointments, navigating complex sales strategies, and completing executive sales presentations.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Making calls to area companies and organizations to set up appointments to sell group tickets Actively meeting or exceeding weekly and monthly sales goals in the areas of group ticket salesMaintaining computerized records of all group customers regarding the team's customer relations databaseOpportunity to sell season tickets, partial season, premium products and mini plans Building and cultivating beneficial relationships with existing and new accountsManaging all incoming sales calls from group sales prospectsDeveloping professional relationships with current clients for group outing renewals and referral leadsMeeting and exceeding weekly and monthly appointment goalsCreating and activating new theme nights and group outingsSelling and activating fan experiences on a game by game basisRequired Skills, Experience, And AbilitiesTo perform the job successfully, you should demonstrate the following competencies:You should be a self-starter with a positive attitudeBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Sports Management, Marketing or related fieldBe customer service and fan experience orientedAt least one-year of successful ticket sales experienceExcellent communication skills including written and verbal; ability to present ideas clearly and conciselySolid prioritization and organizational skills, being able to handle multiple projects at onceThe ability to thrive in a dynamic, deadline driven environmentAbility to network throughout the business community and various organizationsFlexibility to adapt to a frequently changing work environment, and deliver on challenging demandInterpersonal skills - ability to maintain confidentiality, listens to others, and willing to try new ideasAbility to drive toward specific goals and resultsPresents self in professional manner and have the ability to interact with all levels of the organization and outside contacts and maintain the highest level of confidentialityAvailable to work a variable schedule, including holidays, nights, weekends, and all Arena events We believe that a diverse team is vital to building the world's best sports ticketing team.
