We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team at a homeless shelter. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting individuals and families experiencing homelessness, helping them to access the resources and services they need to achieve stability and independence.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand the needs and goals of clients. Develop and implement individualized service plans in collaboration with clients. Coordinate with local agencies and service providers to connect clients with necessary resources, such as housing, healthcare, and employment opportunities. Monitor and document client progress, adjusting service plans as needed. Advocate for clients within the community and with service providers to ensure they receive appropriate support. Provide crisis intervention and support as needed. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with confidentiality and privacy regulations. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field preferred. Previous experience working with homeless populations or in a social services setting is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental approach to client interactions. Familiarity with community resources and services available to homeless populations.
