We are facing several engineering challenges in critical foundational data-plane services that power the next generation of OCI cloud. We need you to challenge existing engineering assumptions and boundaries, bringing your expertise in highly performant, reliable, and available system engineering to elevate OCI data-planes to the next level. This is an opportunity to build innovative solutions for our customers from the ground up. Our team is young and rapidly growing, working on ambitious initiatives such as providing a canonical implementation of core components for data planes through a data-plane runtime framework, developing remote persistent storage with latency and performance comparable to local NVMe drives, and creating standards and tooling for critical performance improvements across OCI data-planes. We seek self-motivated engineers passionate about solving challenging system, data-plane, and performance problems. You should be a solid developer capable of diving deep into low-level systems, designing broad distributed system interactions for high performance and scale. Valuing simplicity and scalability, you should work well in a collaborative, agile environment and be eager to learn. Responsibilities Using your technical, research, and analytical skills, you will collaborate with executives to envision, design, and develop new major data-plane components for Oracle’s Cloud Infrastructure. You will define the foundations for the next generation of OCI data-planes, making deep architectural changes as an outstanding builder and technical leader with a proven industry track record in large cloud-scale projects. As part of the software engineering division, you will participate in defining and evolving standard practices and procedures. You will specify, design, and develop software according to project requirements, and perform tasks related to developing, designing, and debugging software applications or operating systems.
