The
Clinical Document Improvement Specialist
(CDS) is responsible for providing CDI program oversight and executing day-to-day CDI processes related to the concurrent review of clinical documentation in the inpatient medical records of Optum 360 clients' patients. This position collaborates with healthcare providers and team members to enhance documentation accuracy and comprehensiveness, ensuring it fully reflects clinical treatments, decisions, and diagnoses. The CDS will utilize the Optum CDI 3D technology, which assists hospitals in improving data quality to accurately reflect care quality and ensure revenue integrity. Required Qualifications: 5+ years of acute care hospital clinical RN experience OR medical graduate with CDI experience and CDI certification (CCDS, CDIP) 1+ years of experience as a clinical documentation integrity specialist Reside in a commutable distance to Greenbrae, CA, or willing to relocate.
