Short Description
Performs CAT Scan procedures following protocols established by the Radiologist.
Operates the CT scanner during IR procedures in the CT department.
Maintains work area: reports maintenance issues, monitors supplies and deficiencies.
Adheres to all Infection Prevention policies, utilizing appropriate PPE.
Maintains licensure and BLS certification.
Participates in departmental training and stays current with updates.
Provides courteous, positive communication with coworkers and patients.
Supports patient flow and care, helping to optimize throughput.
Follows timekeeping rules and departmental procedures, ensuring safety and compliance.
Attends staff meetings and departmental huddles.
Participates in on-call and holiday requirements.
Experience Required Experience in General, Trauma, and ED settings. Pediatric and Cardiac experience preferred but not required.
Education Requirements Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technologist Program. Enrolled in a qualified Computed Tomography program.
License/Certification Requirements
Current BLS Certification.
Current ARRT License.
Current NJ-RADTECH License.
ARRT Board Certification in Computed Tomography preferred; if not at hire, within 12 months of employment.
