MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
(list below is not all inclusive)
Practices safety at all times in compliance with company safety mission and philosophy, including following lock-out/tag-out and confined space entry procedures.
Serves and consults in matters involving electrical safety.
Troubleshoot and repair production equipment including PLC programming, AC / DC drive systems, and other machine controls.
Design and or install production equipment control upgrades and improvements. May include design and construction of control panels.
Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assemble, and installs electrical conduit and pulls wiring through conduit.
Uses electrical test instruments including multi-meter, megger, amp-meter, personal computer, and oscilloscope to troubleshoot/repair equipment.
Performs preventative maintenance and breakdown troubleshooting as required.
Performs all project work as assigned.
COMPETENCIES
Must have a strong working knowledge of electricity including both A.C. and D.C., electronics, power distribution, and circuitry protection.
Must have ability to use PCs, program PLCs, interface with drive systems, and diagnose complex communication networks.
Must be able to develop and diagram electrical drawings, read blueprints and schematics.
Requires the ability to creatively solve problems and facilitate others to do the same.
Must be willing to work rotating shifts.
Must be a confident decision maker and capable of making decisions within time and information constraints.
Requires ability to effectively communicate in verbal and written forms with people of various backgrounds, inside and outside the company.
QUALIFICATIONS
An Industrial Electrician state indentured card
Or
Associates/Bachelors
degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or Electro-Mechanical Technology
