The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio (UTHSA) is seeking an anatomic pathologist with strong diagnostic skills to work in the new UT Health San Antonio Multispecialty and Research Hospital. Ancillary studies like immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence and electron microscopy are available in house. Specialty expertise and interests in autopsy, renal, bone & soft tissue, GI, Liver, or general surgical pathology are highly desirable. The Department of Pathology trains residents and has fellowships in surgical pathology, cytopathology, hematopathology, transfusion medicine and clinical informatics. Opportunities for clinical and bench research are available with colleagues in Pathology and in other medical school departments, at the NCI-designated Mays Cancer Center, and at the Greehey Childrens Cancer Research Center (GCCRI).
The successful candidate must have a MD, DO and/or PhD degree and be certified by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. The faculty academic appointment will be at a level commensurat
