Ops Page & Messenger Program Assistant

The Office of the Clerk is accepting applications for Ops Page & Messenger Program Assistants to help with the House Page & Messenger Program. This is full-time temporary employment during the legislative session (December 1, 2025 through March 13, 2026).

The Page & Messenger Program is a long-standing tradition of the Florida House of Representatives. Students enrolled in grades 6-12 travel from all over Florida to serve the House for one week at a time during the legislative session.

Applicants for the role of Page & Messenger Program Assistant are responsible for the safety and accountability of each student involved in the program.

Page & Messenger Program Assistants will assist the Program Coordinator by checking students in each morning, promptly responding to incoming message requests and providing instructions for delivery to Messengers, scheduling visits with representatives and other elected officials, facilitating program activities, and checking students out any time they leave the building.

Qualified applicants will hold a minimum of a high school diploma and have previous experience in a supervisory role with teenage children. A major in education studies and/or law enforcement background are a plus. Basic computer and office skills are required. The applicant should be able to pass a background check.
