Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm Job Summary:

The Administrative Assistant II provides administrative support for the operations of unit. Performs moderately complex and well documented administrative tasks. Acts as office liaison/receptionist. Receives and routes phone calls, emails, and/or guests. Maintains files and enters data. Drafts and sends communications on supervisor/departmental staff behalf. Reconciles P-Card/Concur for other staff/faculty against departmental budget. Performs some simple budget monitoring/entry. Operates standard office equipment such as personal computers, copiers, fax machines, etc. Additional Department Summary:

Schedule final exams using Astra. Schedule rooms for classes using Astra. Schedule meeting rooms for professors, instructors, and students using Astra. General office duties (answering phones, maintaining copiers and printers, answering student questions, directing students); Supervise work-study students; Take meeting minutes during faculty meetings. Provide overrides as necessary for students to register classes. Create and cancel courses as necessary. Maintain and edit undergraduate course catalog. Input course proposal/course change information. Maintain inventory of eTech devices. Required Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of administrative experience; OR associate's degree or higher. Skills and Knowledge:

Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate effectively and concisely written and verbally. Ability to problem solve and propose solutions consistent with established policies and procedures. Ability to work cooperatively with others toward common objectives. Strong organizational and time management skills and be detailed oriented. Ability to recognize and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.). Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with UA operating software programs, including Astra and CLSS. Schedule building in CLSS. Experience in Courseleaf Background Investigation Statement:
