Summary:

The Technology Support Assistant provides first level technical support and facilitates the implementation and daily use of technology within the school and/or building.

Essential Functions: Installations of all new hardware Work with Desktop & Device Specialist for installations of hardware and software in the building Execute image refresh on all building devices Identify, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, and operating system problems and questions that occur during daily use Log and follow up on all open or pending service requests for the building to ensure resolution and escalate issues requiring further intervention through proper channels Plan for building technology supply needs, order, and distribute the supplies as designated by supervisor Maintain a building inventory of technology hardware as designated by supervisor Maintain all technology, including computer labs for use on a daily basis and in accordance with district guidelines for student issued devices (where applicable) Provide just-in-time support for staff members in the use of technology and a/v tools as identified by the district (including Interactive Projectors and Whiteboards, Microsoft products, Google portal, cloud storage tools). Provide tech support for audio visual equipment Provide tech support for district in-services and training sessions Communicate with building administrator regarding technology issues Additional duties as assigned by Supervisor of Academic Technology and/or Director of Technology Education and/or Certification Required:

High School Diploma or GED Experience Needed:

3-5 years' Technology experience Customer service experience Requisite Skills:

Basic computer skills Familiarity with basic networking concepts Troubleshooting skills Organizational and time management skills Strong interpersonal skills Basic skills in Microsoft Suite; Google Suite Ability to support a culture of equity, diversity and inclusion
