Are you looking for a fast paced, fun team of skilled technicians that make the best safety equipment in the PPE industry? Our Warehouse Operations team is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include the functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. The team is also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers. The Logistics Clerk is responsible for maintaining up-to-date product information and racking configurations in PIP's Warehouse Management System. You will need to clean and keep the aisle free of loose boxes and other materials while also keeping shelves, the pallet area and workstations neat at all times. You will be trained on ensuring you understand unit measurement and being able to apply measurements to customers' specifications and inspect shipments to deliver correct order fulfillment. You are: Reviewing item velocity reports to ensure items are effectively located to increase picker productivity, reduce replenishment and maximize space utilization in the facility. Assisting in the slotting of new items at the time of receiving. Slotting items into pick slots to support outbound sales. Utilizing different slot types based on product movement, physical characteristics and pick method. Updating warehouse pick, and reserve pallet locations as needed. Ensuring warehouse mapping current. Running daily/weekly reports to show warehouse capacity. Reviewing product placement to increase warehouse efficiency and productivity by reduction in replenishment tasks and associate travel time. Reducing product damages stemming from incorrect product placement. Required skills for success: High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of two (2) years warehouse experience. Working knowledge of warehouse management systems preferred. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English (Bilingual Spanish/English skills preferred). Basic math skills - add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Experience must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and the ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Proficient in all Microsoft business applications such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Ability to use an RF gun (RF technology). Proven experience in a similar role within a distribution center or warehouse environment. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks such as data entry and record keeping.
