Project Manager II
The Project Manager II role encompasses working across three locations: Prairie Island, Monticello, and the Corporate office. The position is integral to solidifying long-term plans, enhancing project estimates, deploying individuals to projects, and managing license extensions from 60 to 80 years. This role requires U.S. citizenship. Responsibilities
Coordinate with stakeholders on-site and interface with the maintenance organization and engineering department to implement projects. Conduct weekly meetings, coordinate project activities, source vendors, and initiate and manage contracts. Monitor financials, escalate concerns, and ensure adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget. Engage in risk management and present proposals to gain necessary approvals for authorization. Conduct field/plant observations and collaborate with internal stakeholders. Essential Skills
5-7 years of cradle-to-grave project management experience. Experience managing projects with a budget of at least $1 million. Familiarity with SAP, Unifier, UKG Workday, MS Project, and P6/Primavera. Nuclear is strongly preferred. Mechanical/Electrical Engineering is preferred. Civil or construction experience is a plus. Ex-Navy (submarine/navy) nuclear experience is preferred if no commercial experience. PMP certification is strongly preferred. SRO certification or license from a plant knowledge perspective is beneficial. The role supports a large team of 32 people, including the maintenance organization, engineering department, controls group, finance organization, leaders, internal supply department, and external vendors. It offers a highly supportive and collaborative work environment. The position involves desk work with field/plant visits for observation. This is a 12-month contract position based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota with a strong likelihood of extending. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $65.00/hr.
