Job Title: Accountant

About The Role
Impact Advisors is seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized, and proactive Accountant to join our team. Working in close partnership with our CFO, service line leaders, and finance team, this individual will play a key role in managing accounting operations and supporting financial results to ensure continued company growth.
The person in this role will be responsible for daily accounting operations and month-end close activities. For candidates with more senior experience, this role may expand to include mentoring junior team members, owning process improvements, and taking the lead on complex reporting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including timely preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations (prepaids, intangibles, payroll and benefits, accruals, debt, others as needed).
- Full ownership of the month-end close process (ownership level may vary by experience).
- Revenue reconciliation in partnership with the CFO.
- Create and distribute monthly reporting packages.
- Support annual external financial audit.
- Promote a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous process improvement.
- Participate in special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned.
- Mentor junior accounting staff, enhance scalable processes for close efficiency, and prepare/explain service line P&L reporting and lender reporting for applicable levels.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- CPA preferred.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience (5+ years and 1+ year of supervisory/management preferred for senior-level).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills required; Workday experience preferred.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
