Atrium: Staffing is hiring: Senior Accountant in Miami

Our client, a professional community management organization, is seeking a Senior Accountant to work out of their office in Miami, FL.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$65k - $75k

Position Overview:

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the accounting department. This role also serves as a point of contact for managers within the organization, analyzes budget information, and collaborates with managers to create strategies aligned with the company vision.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

• Perform bank and account reconciliations and analysis.
• Prepare the month-end close and financial statements.
• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.
• Audit the Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) departments.
• Explain financial statements to both accounting and non-accounting personnel.
• Manage the Accounting department, including training, development, hiring, and performance management.

Required Experience/Skills:

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Minimum of 3+ years of people management experience.
• Minimum of 3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience.
• Minimum of 3+ years of financial statement preparation experience.

Preferred Experience/Skills:

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Managing an accounting team of 3 or more members for at least 3 years.
• 5+ years of accounting experience in Property Management, Food and Beverage, or Hospitality industries.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.
