Overview

Provide security detail as outlined in the post orders and establish working relationships with customers, local law enforcement and fire departments. Security personnel will maintain a professional image and demonstrate excellent customer service, with constant awareness of surroundings and reporting of activity in the assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Control of entrances and movement of pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
• Patrol of buildings and perimeters.
• Escort of material and personnel.
• Inspection of security and fire exposures.
• Special assignments as needed.
• Be on time and report to post in full uniform.
• Maintain professional image and greet customers, visitors and employees in a polite and friendly manner.
• Be proactive in knowing all revisions to post orders and general information distributed by the customer and AFS.
• Patrol physical property or maintain fixed post position and report suspicious activity, accidents and criminal acts.
• Monitor cameras or equipment as outlined in post orders.
• Know emergency policies, procedures and regulations to respond to alarms and incidents.
• Complete Daily Activity Reports, Log Book entries, Incident Reports and related documentation.
• Suggest improvements to safety and loss prevention as identified during daily routines.
• Have knowledge of life safety systems, fire panels, CCTV systems, and related equipment to complete assignments; ensure safe operation of elevators and access doors; identify authorized contractor personnel responsible for maintenance.
• Ensure training and compliance guidelines are met as outlined by AFS and relevant agencies.
• Communicate daily with Security Supervisor about new issues or changes to consider or implement.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License.
• DCJS Certification.
