Armed Security Guard - Residential Patrol at Allied Universal. This role is based in Coral Gables, FL and involves armed patrol duties, driving as part of the post, and providing high-quality customer service to residents and guests.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents and guests by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and effectively.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the residential community and its perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to deter unauthorized access and disturbances.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and unusual occurrences as required by site procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with residents, guests, and property management to address concerns and provide assistance as needed.
  • Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific protocols for armed patrol posts, including proper handling and storage of assigned equipment.

What You’ll Do

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites.
  • Support operations across environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education.
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams.
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service.
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
  • Must possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by state and/or local regulations.
  • Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
