Unarmed Security Guard - Healthcare Patrol at Allied Universal in Hattiesburg, MS. This Part-Time role involves patrolling healthcare facilities, providing a visible security presence, and delivering professional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare environment.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and suspicious behavior.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to deter unauthorized access and policy breaches.
- Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with emergency response activities as directed, including guiding individuals during evacuations or other urgent situations.
- Maintain a visible presence to deter disruptions and provide reassurance to staff, patients, and visitors.
What You’ll Do
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites.
- Support operations across environments including healthcare, commercial real estate, and education.
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams.
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service.
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations; may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
