If you're a strategic business partner looking to join a collaborative human resources team, we're hiring a Human Resources Consultant for our UPMC Northwest Human Resources team. The Human Resources Consultant is a regular, full-time position that primarily works daylight hours, Monday through Friday. Upon completion of initial training, flexibility may be offered to strong performers.
Responsibilities
- Lead business objectives with employees and management, serving as a business partner to management on HR-related issues and acting as a change agent.
- Partner with leaders to provide and implement HR initiatives that support management and employees across the organization.
- Collaborate with the HR team to design and plan interventions that facilitate organizational changes.
- Collaborate with HR business and operational leaders to identify education gaps and development opportunities for management and employees. Provide consultation on coaching and mentorship for staff.
- Provide leadership and mentorship within the HR department and oversee HR staff as needed.
- Drive change management practices to enable organizational effectiveness and foster a diversity and inclusion strategy that maximizes our competitive advantage and the skills of the workforce.
- Effectively communicate expectations with business, operational, and HR partners while promoting a One Team, collaborative atmosphere.
- Participate on local and organization-wide committees focused on projects advancing the organization toward its strategic goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related field and one year of employee relations experience required.
- OR High School Diploma/GED and three years of employee relations experience required.
- Knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws as they apply to human resources and the employment process.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP certification or UPMC HCI Strategic HR Business Partner Certification preferred.
