About the Role

Necessary Qualifications and Skills

• 2-3 years of full-time experience as a Dental Assistant, with proficiency in chairside assistance and back office support
• Active Dental Assistant certification in NY
• Comfortable taking X-rays, making temporaries, impressions, and removing sutures
• Knowledge of dental software such as Dexis and Eaglesoft
• Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish
• Self-motivated team player who can work independently

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Dental Assistant certification in NJ
• X-ray certification in NY and/or NJ
• Conversant in French Creole

Accountabilities

• Providing comprehensive chairside assistance from pre-op to post-op
• Managing patient care with professionalism and compassion
• Educating patients on oral health and recommending procedures
• Taking X-rays, making temporaries, and impressions
• Removing sutures
• Maintaining sterilization and cleanliness standards
• Managing patient flow and back-office operations efficiently
• Stock management and supply ordering
• Entering procedure codes and notes into software as needed
