Investment Management Project Manager

The newly announced Corporate Function Program Management Office (CFPMO) is seeking an experienced project manager to support the stand-up of the new organization supporting Corporate Finance, Enterprise Risk, and Investment Management initiatives. You will report to the Investment Management Portfolio Lead and be accountable for planning, day?to?day execution, management, implementation and reporting of projects using defined PM processes and standards. The CFPMO PM process is designed to increase the value impact of change efforts across MassMutuals corporate functions. You will execute by following a standardized process for project initiation, planning, execution, and close, and partner with project sponsors and portfolio leads to develop required detailed project artifacts tailored to project complexity. This portfolio oversees the execution of initiatives across Corporate Finance, Enterprise Risk, and Investment Management, and defines and owns project management standards across the company. The team focuses on driving and aligning critical programs and projects across Corporate Functions, creating visibility, enabling prioritization, collaboration, and execution. The Impact
As the Investment Management Project Manager, you will: Partner with Project Sponsors and Functional Managers to compile Discovery artifacts such as a Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA), Project Charter, high?level Resource Plan, and high?level Milestone Plan for Discovery Funding Develop and maintain Detailed Planning artifacts and manage plan execution Determine project scope and manage scope execution across multiple large projects or programs with changing scope, high complexity and risk, large teams, and organizational change Develop financial forecasts, record cost variance, address delivery challenges, and request budget changes via Change Request processes Develop milestones during Discovery and detailed schedules during Detailed Planning Apply project and program management knowledge to refine resource plans, develop a RACI Matrix, conduct Key-Person Risk Assessments, and assess Third-Party Support Needs Identify, resolve, and escalate project risks through Risk and Issue Logs and Pre-Mortem activity Drive continuous improvement and efficiencies beyond own scope Ensure delivery meets all business requirements from development through implementation
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 8+ years of project management experience 1+ years of experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira)
Ideal Qualifications
10+ years of project management experience, 5+ years within a PMO 8+ years leading projects impacting core Investment Management and Capital Market systems Proven success delivering complex long-term projects on time, within budget, and to scope PMP certification or equivalent Strong understanding of Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
