Project Manager
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with unit turns and common area renovations in occupied living communities. You will manage capital expenditure projects for all existing communities, driving the successful completion of construction projects by effectively managing and collaborating with field staff. This role involves guiding and directing field operations teams in workforce management, optimizing equipment utilization, and championing innovative safety practices. We are looking for someone who is passionate about serving the community and comfortable with travel. Responsibilities
Oversee field operations, including budgeting and cost tracking, to ensure timely and cost-efficient project delivery. Act as the main liaison for site superintendents, promoting strong teamwork and communication. Clearly convey company goals and expectations to site superintendents and field crews to ensure alignment and execution. Coordinate resources across multiple job sites, ensuring materials, equipment, and labor are available as needed. Direct and support workforce activities to maintain smooth and productive operations. Assess and manage equipment usage to ensure crews are properly equipped while controlling costs. Continuously evaluate industry trends and innovations to implement process improvements. Identify and resolve project challenges proactively using available tools and expertise. Work with superintendents and key staff to streamline operations and enhance efficiency. Help organize and lead regular meetings to support leadership and communication. Collaborate with the Safety team to enforce safety standards, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation. Essential Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Construction Management or equivalent working experience. 5 years of experience as a project manager or project engineer working for a general contractor. Proficiency in Procore. Valid State of Michigan driver's license. Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and safe work practices. Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience as a Construction Project Engineer/Manager with Living Communities. Experience/Knowledge of Capital Expenditures. Work Environment
This position involves approximately 70% travel. Work will be conducted out of the office one day a week, with the remaining days spent visiting job sites in Michigan or nearby states. Most travel consists of same-day trips. The company operates private aircraft from Howell Airport, allowing team members to fly and typically return the same day. Mileage reimbursement is provided for travel done by vehicle. The majority of work will be for Story Point developments, which encompass over 115 communities across 9 states. This role offers a collaborative, safety-first environment with hands-on experience to create meaningful projects that enhance the quality of life for residents in living communities. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Troy, Michigan. The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $95000.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
