As a Vascular Technologist, you will perform high-quality vascular ultrasounds and assist physicians in diagnosing and treating a wide range of vascular disorders. You will conduct non-invasive exams to assess for disease or abnormalities while working in both the vascular lab and clinic settings. Every day, you can make a lasting difference in the lives of patients by ensuring they receive necessary care. This is a regular PRN position, with caregivers working days varying between 7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.A caregiver who excels in this role will:Perform carotid duplex, venous duplex, arterial duplex, aortoiliac duplex, penile duplex and renal duplex.Dictate preliminary reports for physicians.Consult with vascular medicine physician for interpretation of test results.Maintain records of testing for documentation.Provide daily account of patient's charge requisition with appropriate ICD9 codes.Provide training and act as a resource for vascular ultrasound students, residents and physicians.Provide testing for add-on emergency patients.Maintain continuing medical education requirements for the appropriate professional organization.Maintain files (e.g., product and service quotes), records and up-to-date documents for accreditation of vascular lab.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Completion of an appropriate allied health program leading to a degree OR certificate in the application of non-invasive cardiovascular ultrasound techniquesRegistered Vascular Technologist (RVT), or other appropriate national certification OR registry eligible. (Must be completed within one year of hire)Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red CrossAdvanced training in anatomy, physiology, biology, and physics1-3 years of experiencePreferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: 5 years of experienceOur caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
