Six Sigma Black Belt Project Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Six Sigma Black Belt Project Manager to lead strategic process improvement initiatives within a paper and pulp manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for identifying, managing, and executing high-impact projects that drive operational efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
Lead cross-functional teams to execute Lean Six Sigma projects from initiation through completion, ensuring alignment with business goals. Analyze complex manufacturing processes using Six Sigma methodologies (DMAIC, DFSS) to identify root causes and implement sustainable improvements. Facilitate Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and other Lean tools to drive continuous improvement. Develop and track project charters, timelines, budgets, and performance metrics (e.g., cost savings, cycle time reduction, yield improvement). Mentor and coach Green Belts and other team members in Six Sigma tools and techniques. Collaborate with plant leadership, engineering, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure project success and knowledge transfer. Present project updates and results to senior leadership, including ROI analysis and risk mitigation strategies. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence across the organization. Requirements Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred). Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (ASQ or equivalent). 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a Six Sigma or continuous improvement role. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes is highly desirable. Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP) and project management software. Excellent leadership, communication, and change management skills. Proven track record of delivering measurable business results through process improvement.
