Silvus is seeking a Shipping Associate to manage outbound shipments, including inspection, packing, and paperwork. This role also involves handling inventory, coordinating transportation, and ensuring timely deliveries. This position reports to the Shipping Manager and is fully onsite, Monday through Friday, with a start time of 8:00 am. The location for this role is at Silvus Technologies' HQ in the heart of vibrant West Los Angeles. The following is a list of at least some of the current essential job functions of the position. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities at any time at its discretion. Role and Responsibilities
Responsible for all aspects of outbound shipments, including inspection, packing, and accurate preparation of shipping documentation for both domestic and international orders. Manage packaging material inventories, ensuring adequate supply for shipping needs. Manage the packaging and shipping process of customer orders, as well as the handling of logistics for trade shows. Coordinate transportation and carrier services to ensure timely delivery schedules. Perform other related duties as necessary. Required Qualifications
High School diploma or GED required. Minimum 1 year of experience using systems and software like FedEx, UPS, and DHL. Experience in shipping, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Experience shipping commercial goods to international destinations. Highly proficient in Google Suite and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Prior experience in a fast-paced office environment, meeting multiple deadlines. Note - Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts. Employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check. Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Attention to detail, accuracy, flexibility, reliability, and teamwork. A willingness to learn and adapt to evolving tasks and responsibilities as the company grows. Knowledge of and commitment to safety protocols and practices within a shipping environment. Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
Office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to do the following:
Perform bending and reaching movements to place items on lower and higher shelves. Kneeling or squatting to access lower shelves. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. when receiving incoming part shipments.
