Position Summary

As a Medical Receptionist, you balance the needs of patients and maintain efficient workflow of the office, while providing support to the physician in all facets of medical procedures—before, during, and after. You ensure that the patient has an excellent service experience.

Position Details

  • Locations: Jamaica Queens and other clinics in Queens
  • Full-time between the hours of 7am–7:30pm and weekends as needed
  • Must be bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Compensation: $18–$21/hr based on experience and qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and escort them to examination rooms; assist patients with the completion of forms as necessary
  • Schedule appointments and accommodate patient needs (e.g., transportation, rescheduling)
  • Address patient questions and ensure needs are met at all times
  • Maintain procedure rooms by keeping them neat and ready for use
  • Prepare patients before procedures and clean up afterward
  • Provide post-procedure instructions and guidance on medication if needed
  • Monitor supply levels and replenish as needed
  • Train new staff as needed
  • Assist ultrasound staff as needed
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: Receptionist or healthcare experience
  • Languages: Spanish and English fluency
  • Weekend availability
