Job Description

We are looking for a motivated individual for an asphalt paving field technician position to support paving operations by maintaining equipment to ensure the crews have the safest and most productive equipment. Mechanical experience preferred. Must have a flexible work schedule as some asphalt paving work is performed during night shift and weekends.

Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To

  • Safety First: Able to lead with safety in every task
  • Work well with others on the team
  • Maintain clear communication with supervision and our internal customers
  • Willing and able to pivot to doing different tasks throughout the day
  • Effectively manage and plan work to accomplish all job tasks without having direct supervision on all matters
  • Assess equipment and vehicles to accurately diagnose and repair
  • Keep an accurate log of all work performed
  • Able to read hydraulic and electrical schematics for a variety of equipment
  • Effectively prioritize tasks (time management)
  • Mindset and willingness to learn and adapt in this fast-paced environment

Requirements

  • 2 years of Field Mechanic experience preferred
  • Clean driving record
  • CDL (can work to acquire if needed)
  • This is a union position with the Local 18 Operators Union (would require joining union if not already a member)
