Position Overview
A board-certified OB/GYN physician is needed to provide locum tenens coverage in Burlington, North Carolina. The assignment includes a combination of clinic, inpatient coverage, and call responsibilities . Providers will join a collaborative team of physicians and CNMs in a low-volume setting with approximately 450 annual deliveries. Assignment Highlights

The assignment includes a combination of clinic, inpatient coverage, and call responsibilities . Providers will join a collaborative team of physicians and CNMs in a low-volume setting with approximately 450 annual deliveries. Assignment Highlights
- Schedule:
- Full-time: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (7:30 AM if scheduled for C-section, then clinic)
- GYN Surgeries: Mondays, typically 7:30 AM-2:00/2:30 PM, then clinic to complete day
- Alternative: 2-3 clinic days/week without call
- Call Requirements:
- Weekend call: 1 in 4 (Friday-Sunday, 8A-8A)
- Weekday call: 2 on / 2 off; back-up to CNMs; if working in clinic, will also be on call
- Procedures: L&D, postpartum, ER GYN, C-sections, GYN surgery
- Patient Age Range: 16-65 Annual deliveries: 450
- Support Staff: Midwives and physicians
- EMR: Epic (experience required)
- Preferred Skills: OB ultrasound reading; 1st-trimester OB & ER GYN experience
- Board Certified in OB/GYN - required
- Active North Carolina license - required (not open to licensing)
- DEA - required
- Experience: 3+ years preferred; must be comfortable working with CNMs and managing a low-volume, mixed-acuity OB service
