Forklift Operator
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Forklift Operator/Material Handler for 1st and 2nd shifts. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting final products from the production line to their designated finished goods location outside the plant. This role requires experience in operating a sit-down forklift and using an RF scanner to accurately locate and store materials. A keen attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and good dexterity are crucial as you will navigate tight spaces and keep pace with the production lines.
Responsibilities:
- Transport final products from the production line to finished goods locations.
- Operate a sit-down forklift efficiently and safely.
- Utilize an RF scanner to locate and store materials accurately.
- Navigate tight spaces and maintain awareness of surroundings.
- Keep up with the production lines and manage time effectively.
Essential Skills:
- Experience in operating a sit-down forklift.
- Proficiency in using an RF scanner.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to lift 30 pounds.
- Problem-solving skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in packaging, picking, and material handling.
- Mechanical skills and experience with assembly.

Work Environment:
The facility has a unique environment with the smell of paint and heavy forklift traffic. The job requires working in tight spaces, ensuring safety and efficiency. The work schedule includes 1st shift from Monday to Friday, 5am to 3:30pm, and 2nd shift from 4pm to 1am, with occasional Saturdays as needed.
Job Type & Location:
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elkhart, Indiana.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $21.00/hr.
