Position Overview: GM Performance Power Units is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee all aspects of financial accounting, statutory reporting, and compliance across US and overseas entities, including adherence to FIA Financial Regulations. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role demands a qualified accountant with proven expertise in managing complex financial operations, driving accuracy, and leading a high-performing finance team.

Key Responsibilities
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with US GAAP or other applicable standards across multiple global entities
Lead consolidation of monthly and annual financial statements, ensuring completeness, compliance, and insightful financial analysis
Coordinate finance teams across business units to resolve discrepancies and ensure data integrity
Monitor statutory compliance including FIA Financial Regulations, tax filings, and annual accounts across jurisdictions
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws to ensure ongoing compliance
Establish and maintain robust internal control frameworks to safeguard assets and ensure financial integrity
Manage internal and external audits, preparing schedules, liaising with auditors, and addressing findings
Oversee financial systems and processes, driving automation and efficiency improvements in collaboration with IT and finance teams
Lead and develop the finance accounting team through coaching, performance management, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Deliver efficient financial operations including process improvements for international e-commerce activities
Support management reporting and financial analysis, working with FP&A teams to deliver timely and accurate performance insights
Manage company cash flow, forecasting, banking relationships, and risk mitigation strategies including foreign exchange hedging
Own risk management initiatives and insurance portfolio, ensuring policies align with company risk appetite
Lead or participate in strategic projects such as mergers & acquisitions, system implementations, and process reengineering
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or related field; MBA or professional certification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred
Extensive post-qualified experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar senior finance role within a complex, multi-entity organization
Technical Skills
Deep knowledge of US GAAP, statutory reporting, and complex accounting transactions
Proven experience with financial consolidation, statutory compliance, and audit management
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, and financial management systems such as IFS, Microsoft D365, SAP, or Oracle
Strong analytical capabilities to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights
Experience managing financial controls, risk management frameworks, and internal audit processes
