The Continuous Improvement (CI) Engineer is responsible for driving process improvements across manufacturing operations by applying Lean, Six Sigma, and problem-solving methodologies. This role supports efficiency, quality, and cost-reduction initiatives, working closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to build a culture of continuous improvement.
Continuous Improvement Engineer
Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Expansion of a lean system ZAP (ZIEHL-ABEGG process system) in the complete organization of ZIEHL-ABEGG Inc.
Process Improvement & Lean Implementation
  • Identify, lead, and implement improvement projects in machining, stator/rotor production, and assembly lines.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and 5S principles to eliminate waste and improve flow.
  • Support value stream mapping, line balancing, and cycle time reduction activities.
Problem Solving & Root Cause Analysis
  • Lead structured problem-solving efforts using tools such as 8D, DMAIC, and FMEA.
  • Analyze production performance data to identify bottlenecks and propose solutions.
  • Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Project & Change Management
  • Coordinate cross-functional improvement projects from concept to implementation.
  • Track and report project progress, savings, and performance improvements.
  • Support change management to ensure sustainability of improvements.
Data & Performance Monitoring
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret production KPIs (OEE, yield, scrap, downtime).
  • Develop dashboards and reports to communicate improvement results.
  • Use statistical tools to validate improvements and ensure process capability.
Culture & Training
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement across all levels of the organization.
  • Deliver training and workshops on Lean tools and methodologies.
  • Support operators and engineers in implementing daily improvement initiatives.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology or equivalent) required
  • Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma minimum
  • Exposure to quality control, production efficiency, or operational excellence projects.
  • Experience with 5S, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Value Stream Mapping (VSM), & PDCA / DMAIC methodologies.
  • Demonstrated success in leading or participating in continuous improvement projects.
  • Proven results in reducing waste, improving cycle time, or increasing productivity.
  • Experience in the field of process optimization or lean Consulting
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel.
