Job Title: Construction Quality Control Manager (CQCM)
Location: Jacksonville, FL (Travel throughout the Southeastern U.S. required)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Construction Quality Control Manager (CQCM) to join our team and oversee quality assurance on federal government construction projects . The ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years of proven experience managing QC programs for large-scale federal contracts, ensuring compliance with government regulations, contract specifications, and safety standards. This role is based in Jacksonville, FL, with regular travel across the Southeastern United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and implement the project-specific Quality Control Plan (QCP) in compliance with USACE and NAVFAC requirements.
- Ensure strict adherence to EM 385-1-1 safety standards , project drawings, and specifications.
- Conduct daily QC inspections , including preparatory, initial, and follow-up phases.
- Maintain QC documentation including submittal logs, testing reports, deficiency tracking, and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and government representatives to resolve issues and maintain high standards.
- Train and mentor site staff on quality control processes and best practices.
- Oversee third-party testing agencies, ensuring results are logged and communicated effectively.
- Report directly to the Project Manager and government officials, maintaining a proactive approach to compliance and safety.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing Quality Control on federal government construction projects (USACE, NAVFAC, DoD preferred).
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout the Southeastern U.S.
- Certifications Required:
- USACE/NAVFAC Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQMC)
- EM 385-1-1 Site Safety & Health requirements
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred; equivalent experience considered).
- Strong leadership, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate across multiple teams and maintain a proactive QC culture.
