About the Position:

We are currently seeking a motivated and customer-focused Counter Lead to support daily operations at the counter. This position plays a key role in ensuring a smooth customer experience, assisting with product knowledge, order fulfillment, and leading the counter team. The Counter Lead helps drive exceptional service while supporting the overall success of the branch.

Essential Responsibilities: Provide expert assistance to walk-in customers and phone-in inquiries regarding HVAC parts and supplies. Process sales orders, returns, and exchanges with accuracy and efficiency. Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service. Support and guide counter staff in resolving customer issues and meeting daily service goals. Maintain an organized, clean, and professional counter area. Assist with inventory management, including stocking shelves and tracking product availability. Collaborate with the warehouse and sales teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. Train new counter team members on systems, procedures, and product knowledge. Monitor counter performance metrics and help identify opportunities for improvement. Uphold company policies and procedures and ensure compliance with safety standards. Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position may include oversight of counter staff including scheduling, task delegation, and day-to-day support. Qualifications, Attributes, Education, and/or Experience:

Prior experience in a customer service or counter sales role, preferably in HVAC, plumbing, or industrial supply. Strong knowledge of HVAC parts and supplies is preferred. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to support and motivate a team. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask. Problem-solving mindset and a positive, team-first attitude. Ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving customer and business needs. Computer Skills:

Proficiency with order entry systems, Microsoft Excel, and basic business software tools.
